Mourinho's only destination is up his own rear end - it would be like Beckham turning up at the lane. Chelsea is a sideshow compared to Mourniho vs Abramovich. We are talking about a club with tradition here, not a bunch of King's Road pose(u)rs.

Stick with Jol and do it the Spurs way
 

No chance of Mourinho. Not convinced Jol is the answer either. He throws too many leads away by trying to defend for a lot of the game even though everyone knows our defence is crap

Don't understand why everybody is pointing out that we've spent this enormous amount of money... We've signed a lot of players, but we've also sold a lot of them too...
 

Whilst i feel Mourinho is a great coach,lets face it love him or hate him he has done the business wherever he has been,i think we should stick with Jol. Yes we have had an up and down season this year but we have had a revolving door player wise for the last couple of seasons.We still need a real playmaker in midfield a la Gazza and we've got 3 of the best strikers in the prem up front. Lets not forget that Fergie won fuck all for years and look at him now. Jols the man,but its going to take time.
 

Spurs fans are so funny. I don't know what is better, them pretending that they wouldn't be ecstatic if Mourinho went to Spurs or them considering it a tangible possibility.

Mourinho would be the right man for Spurs, but I think that it would be a step backwards for him, and can't see that as a possibility. He has already done about all he can in England. I think that the only steps forward he can make are to go to one of the big clubs in Europe (AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid, Barca) or to become the manager of one of the elite National squads when he feels like he needs a break.

What total and utter twaddle, give me Jol anytime, moaner Mourinho is not wanted by Chelsea and definately not Tottenham, we are getting there and the five year plan is working well.
 

Would be amazing if Jose Mourinho joined Spurs. As a Spurs fan it would be a good move for the club and hes the best personality in football at the moment. He turn the good trophy runs into silverware and we would be signing better players than some we have signed recently e.g. Mido, Murphy and Raziak.
 

Why all this fuss over Mourinho? Does no one realize that, if he is sacked by Chelsea, it will be because he has failed there. Not because of personality clashes. Yes he has one the league and some domestic cups but I could point out a dozen managers who, given his budget, would have done the same or better. He has failed (so far) to land the one trophy that he was really brought there to obtain; the Champions League.

Jol, on the other hand, has suffered only due to overly raised expectations. We very nearly made it in to the Champion's League in 05-06. In the end he took Spurs in to Europe in his first full season in charge. Whatever people say, his budget has not been exceptionally large.

This year we have had three good cup runs, going out in competitions to the current premiership champions, a very talented Arsenal side and a the current uefa cup holders. Hardly shameful loses. We were the equals of Chelsea for large parts of those games and have beaten them in the league.

The team has been inconsistent, that is true, but then half of the current team weren't here last season. Teams very rarely click immediately and while Chelsea can afford to buy world class players and then sell them if they don't work out, Spurs can't. That necessitates slow team building. And surely anyone can see that this is what is taking place.

I really can't believe how stupid some so called supporters are. Jol has done something that so many before him have failed to do. He has made Spurs in to a very good team. Given a year or two more this very good team could become a great team. But no, you lot want it all now. Well if that's the case then why not go and support Chelsea?
 

Hi people. While i think MJ has done a good job here and i think hes a nice guy, i cant see us breaking into top 3 with him and his decisions, tactics. Too many errors for a top3 side manager. Maybe with a decline of chelsea, arsenal and united and our good fortunes we may make it with MJ, but i would take mourinho anyday. Yes, hes arrogant and i cant stand him (cause hes chelsea manager), but hes a winner. He isnt scared to drop a player if they dont perform. Hes got balls. I think this move could be likely and i think hes all about getting lower teams back up to the top - Look at what he done at deportiva. A mid or low table team and made them champions. I dont think MJ is vocal enough. Need someone to take charge. And also - Houghton out. COYS
 

I think that Chelsea, with their current players, would be a much more respected side playing football that everyone would love to watch if Jol was at the helm. There would be no doubts from the chairman and no questions from the neutrals on whether they deserved to be top of the league with a +75 goal difference.
 

As Great as it would be to see a manager of Mourinho`s pedigree at WHL in reality there is more chance of Wenger and Ferguson sharing a log cabin in some iddilic mountain retreat for a couple of weeks than there is of us landing him.I believe we should stick with Jol and show him some loyalty for another season at least after all he has really turned us around, my gut feeling is that he will not be able to. take us to the next level. As for Mourinho........bigger and better things await.

Jol has achived remarkable things at Spurs in a short time - with young players.

I've been watching Spurs since the late 70s, and since the mid-90s the team has been totally mediocre. Now there are grounds for optimism.

To all those who say otherwise, just think about it a little more.

This whole discussion is pointless - Mourinho is a top manager - but we already have one.
 

with 300 millions spent, my granny could have had more success than mourinho.

Jol was right, Bothroyd is a'greater manager' than mourinho...i,e done more to his team....his whole team cost less than one celsea's flop striker.
